So grab that cup of coffee or fill up that glass of wine and let's dig in to today's show. Hey mama. Bosses. I am so ready to talk about episode four today. Why we need to tell our conscious minds to take a hike and literally how it will save our sanity. So this is such a cool topic, and I'm really thankful that I was shown this topic in the last few weeks and was able to kind of craft a podcast around it because I didn't even know what I didn't know. And then I was shown kind of this whole new revelation around the co the conscious mind and how, when you quiet that conscious mind, you're finally able to step into your piece. So we're going to talk more about that, but let me first ask you this question. How many of you need extra sanity? Raise your hand. I can see you kind of, I am a mom. I can see everything. How many of you need extra sanity? I am raising both arms my legs. I don't know if you're anything like me, but my mind tries to run the show. It really does constantly thinking about what I have to do. Have I checked the to-do list. There's probably wet laundry still in the washer. Where's the vinegar. I have to rewash it now. Have I picked that hair out of my mole? I don't remember if I did my eyebrows. Are they even like you guys, let me introduce you to your conscious mind, our conscious mind. It does. It runs the show. Think of it as the engine to a car, the car is just parts. It just sits there. And until the engine works and gets everything up and running the car does nothing. There's nothing that it can do without this brain shooting off instructions to different areas of the car. So that's basically what your conscious mind is doing for you. And it's a beautiful thing. We love our conscious mind, but we really have to learn to quiet the conscious mind sometimes because the conscious mind is a wild beast and it can run away from us and it can take control of our lives. It can put so much incessant chatter into our heads that we're not actually getting anything done. And your conscious is always going to bring you back to what it knows best, and that is protecting you, protecting you, which means what? Oh, kind of thinking out of fear, thinking out of the comfort zone, constantly bringing you back to kind of just the daily minutiae stays very high level, like do this, do that busy work, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. I mean, we should like name our conscious mind. Cause I, I truly feel like sometimes I have another person living in my brain that I can get to be quiet or I couldn't until I learned all about this stuff. So how can we do it? There are a few ways. I believe that if you can get to a deep state of relaxation, like meditation or hypnosis, you're able to quiet the conscious mind. And so I'll tell you why that's important now let's have a disclaimer and some honesty in this podcast today. Ladies, I have dabbled in meditation here and there and I mean, I've really tried. Okay. I mean, I really did. Here's what it consisted of. I made a decision to wake up early or I made a decision to time block 10 minutes when my kids were napping or whatever, I quieted the room. I lit a candle. I put the pillows against the wall, made sure the door was locked, cross my legs. Everything's comfortable. Remember to pee before I started. Cause you know how that is and what happened, found myself, fighting my conscious mind for probably two or three minutes. And then I gave up how many of you have tried to meditate and that's your experience? And so you quit. I don't feel that I've ever really been able to sit. And when you look at the, by the book, meditation guideline be successful at it, I just kind of gave up on it. To be honest. When I think about this, it kind of was confusing to me because I've never felt out of tune with my star player with myself. I've always felt like I can control my conscious mind. And I didn't know why, because I'm like, well, I'm not really meditating. I have no idea what hypnosis is or how to do it. And I don't really know, do I quiet my mind? I have no idea, but I've been able to really focus myself and get into a place where I know my conscious mind is checked at the door. So here's what happened. I had this kind of night of enlightenment. If you will. One of my best friends, I am blessed to be her birth coach. I mean, this girl must have really love me. So we went to her first hypnosis class and I learned some really insanely amazing, invaluable information. So let me take you there. I want you to visualize this whole thing happening. We're in this itty-bitty room. It's like basically we're in a closet. I'm sitting in this uncomfortable foldout chair munching on all way too many chocolate almonds, because they're delicious thinking about how thirsty I was when all of a sudden this super awesome doula mindset coach. And I mean, she's a goddess. She talks like this. Anybody that talks like this knows what's up. Am I right? She totally shifted the way that I think about tapping in to your subconscious mind. She said, when we go into a deep state of relaxation, we're actually able to remove our conscious mind and set it off to the side. I want you to visualize that here's your brain. You got your conscious mind and the conscious mind is the one blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Do this, do that. Physical, physical light LA like driving you crazy with all the things you have to do. Squirrel looking this way, looking that way you're distracted. And then the subconscious mind, I want you to think about taking that conscious mind and setting it to the side and then tapping into your subconscious mind, which is this deeper level of your thought process. And this conscious mind is where all of our beliefs are affirmations are attitude. It's where all of the roots, I want you to think of it kind of as like the Hyde hard wiring to a computer, so to speak. It's the hard wiring of who you are. It's the hard wiring of that conscious mind. So if you can tap into that, you know, motherboard of the subconscious mind and the subconscious mind can only handle maybe one or two thoughts at a time. So when you tap into this, this is where you can reframe your thoughts. You can reframe your feelings, you can reframe the way that you allow the conscious mind to, to run your life or even better not run your life anymore. So here she is blaming this whole thing and I'm just like staring at her. I think my mouth was open. I probably had chocolate almond in my teeth cause I was like, this is good freaking stuff. I've got to do a podcast about it. And so I thought to myself, I've never really been successful at meditation. How am I, you able to get into this deep state of subconscious and how was I able to reframe my consciousness and what she, you had mentioned? And what I came back down to was that I was able to get into a deep, deep state of relaxation. It wasn't in the traditional way. And that's what I want to talk about. That's what I want to talk about right now. Yeah. So I want you to think about your day. Is there a time or a moment when everything is quiet around you, you have these bursts of inspiration, almost like these thoughts that are bubbling up from nowhere and just they're truly transformational thoughts. They seem to stream in just out of, out of nowhere. You don't know where those thoughts come from. Maybe you're laying in bed when you first wake up in the morning and you're saying your prayers or you're reading your devotional. Everything's quiet. Even if it's, even if it's just for a minute or two mama boss, maybe it's in the shower while the water is pounding down on your back. There's this kind of this rhythmic pattern, allowing you to just decompress. Let go for the first time in your day. There's no other thoughts. There's no interruptions. Maybe it's your workout. Are you in a workout class where you almost find yourself an autopilot and then Whoa, you snap to at the end of the workout, you're like, Whoa, like I haven't blacked out there for a minute. Does that happen to any of you? Are you able to disengage and kind of shut your mind off during any of these situations? What about getting a massage? That one really works for me. I want you to highlight this because, because those are the moments when you are deeply relaxed and that is simply another word for meditation. That is simply another phrase for hypnosis. It may not be as technical and hypnotherapist may be like this girl don't know what she talking about and Hey, that's cool. But I just want to share with you what has really worked for me. Let's talk about that. It's the shower and it's my workout classes. I have no, I had no idea that this was my daily meditation slash deep relaxation moment until hearing this mindset goddess, you know, and just decide no, okay, this is a PS. This is a bonus tip. When you're happy, smiling, positive thriving in the flow talked about that last week. You're actually creating more endorphins. You have mass endorphins that are coursing through your body. That's I mean, the science is there that proves this. And when endorphins shoot through your body, you feel warm, fabulous, fuzzy inside. You have more blood pumping through your veins are able to think better act quicker. You have more energy. It's just such a positive thing for you to do for yourself. I mean, it's the shower you get in the shower. You feel this tapping on your back, able to just shut your mind down. Didn't realize this was actually a form of deep relaxation. And I was able to quiet the conscious mind long enough to think of thoughts or think of one thing I wanted to reframe inside my conscious mind and work on that topic really planted in the subconscious mind. I mean, who freaking knew, right? Who knew have to sit in a closet and sing kumbaya to meditate as, as mompreneurs and as mothers. Our time is limited. And so maybe what I'm trying to get at here is you can quiet your conscious mind in so many different ways that might work better for you because you do have the power to quiet this beast, tapping into the subconscious and reframe it with new positive, awesome insight. To also ask those really deep questions that you need to ask. And so often the answers live within ourselves. They live within our heart, but we're not able to quiet the chatter long enough to hear the answers that we need to hear cigarettes that I want you to do. I want you to think about when you're able to have a really quiet moment with yourself and we all have this every day, whether it's waking up 30 minutes earlier doing, doing a focused meditation or devotional work or prayer, whether it's a shower, whether it's a workout that you do, whether it's quiet time at night, maybe you do stretching. Maybe you do a yoga practice. So think about where is this for you? And even if it's for two, three, five minutes, a day, practice, practice and more practice makes perfect. And I think this is easier and more realistic for some people to start with because you're already comfortable doing this thing and you don't even know you're doing it. I didn't. I had no idea that I was actually doing a form of meditation each day, thinking I want you to do the second thing is I want you to time block that in. So for example, for me, I know that showers, let's say I take a 20 or 30 minute shower, even if it's 10 or 15 minutes, depending on the day. I know this is my moment where I can fully let go. I can take myself into a state of relaxation, quiet my conscious mind, and either ask really deep questions. I need to ask, reframe my subconscious or simply be still with myself and allow whatever thoughts need to emerge or whatever inspirations need to come. Give those inspirations a chance to come to light. So I want you to time block. So for example, if you know, okay, for me, it's the shower. Great. Make sure you don't have your phone in there with you at the door is locked. It's a time when you can have no interruptions and you can really tune in and focus. Now the actual how to, so the other question is, well, I mean, you're doing something. How can you go into a state of relaxation? Especially for me. I know the workout. One sounds really weird. How can you work out a knock and go into a state of relaxation? Here's how you do it. And obviously the level that you go into your state of relaxation would vary. If you are working out, you know, you don't want to hypnotize yourself and like fall off the treadmill, right? That would be just awkward. I'd be like, I don't know her. And I didn't teach her to do that. That wasn't me. Wasn't me. But In the shower, you can allow yourself to kind of go into a deeper state. So here's the how to, I want you to find your moment, find your space. And I want you to basically just quiet your mind. So close your eyes for a minute. I'm going to take you through a very quick visualization. I'm going to channel this incredible hip, no goddess that I met the other day. Okay. I'm going to channel her voice. So get ready. All right. Close your eyes. Breathe in, breathe out. I want you to release all the tension that you feel surrounding your eyes. Let it go. I want you to release all the tension in your head, release it down. Let go of your jaw. Then pray it out. I want you to release all the tension in your shoulders. Just let it flow right off your back. Pretty then Pray it out. And I want you to release all the tension in your arms. Let them lay next to you. Softly. Let go of your fingertips. Breathe in, breathe out. Now I want you to continue down the rest of your body, body part by body part until you feel so relaxed and you don't have any thoughts, you just simply feel at peace. Okay? And open your eyes. Hi, we're back. Hey, it's me again. Stephie voice. How was that? Can you, I mean, you guys, that was what? 20 seconds. So think about taking yourself through that hypnosis process or that relaxation exercise. And look, I just hypnotized you really? I mean, you've been hypnotized by me while you were out. I hit my ties you to go leave a review on my channel. Just kidding. But for real go leave a review on my iTunes channel, the mompreneur mastermind show. Yay. Whoop, shout. Hello. All right. So anyways guys, when you take yourself through this relaxation exercise, you're able to just be quiet. Oh my gosh, we've got to be quiet. How can we have these breakthrough ideas? How can we listen to what God wants us to hear and kind of hear that tugging and our heart and hear those, those thoughts that come from within us, that we have deep down that either we need to get rid of, we need to release them or those ideas and awesome inspirations that we need to take action on. Those are all of inside of our subconscious mind. And so we have to tap into that at least once a day. And I want you to start with, if you can only fit in one or two minutes, I know every single one of you can find the time for that. That's what I want you to do. If you can find 10 minutes, even better, even better. I had no idea that I was going into a state of relaxation for the past year, whenever I was in the shower or in my workout class. Oh, let's talk about that. So if you're going to work at class, ideally, a yoga class, a stretching [inaudible], I'm a mind balance workout class. You're going to find that state of relaxation. If you're in even a weightlifting class, you can still find that relaxation mode by just stop don't think and just kind of let yourself be. Now that one takes practice. I can do it, but it did take some practice for me. Really. The important message here in today's podcast, mama boss is to shut down that part of your brain. That basically just wants to tell you what you already know. It wants to direct you to things that are safe, things that it knows. And the conscious mind is just talking and talking and talking about the beliefs that your subconscious mind has had since childhood, because we've all grown up. We're all big girls with our big girl panties on. I mean, some of us don't, but I think the majority of us are ready to pull those up. At this point in time, we are ready to be our best selves, to have a growth game and put on our, our awesome crown. Like, let me adjust my crown right now. I'm gonna walk in the light. I am gonna fuel others. I am going to be amazing and happy and positive, and I'm going to let abundance flow through me today. I'm going to be the best person that I can be because of that is why I was created. I'm going to tap into my zones of genius and my greatness. I'm going to embody that. I'm ready. And so we have to tell our subconscious mind that because your subconscious mind may be Le maybe stuck back when you were three or five years old. I'm scared. I need my mommy. Where are my mommy at? I mean, we all still need our mommies, but, or our daddies or our friends or our mentor, but it's really just reframing that place of fear that came from when we were children or reframing that thought that we're not good enough. We are too fat, too. Ugly, not good at blank. Public speaking, not good at social media marketing. Don't know how I can't figure it out. I'm too busy. I can't afford it. Ladies. The list goes on and on all of those limiting beliefs that are deep in there, we're going to reframe that. So come up with, what is the thought I want to plant in my own mind? And I would just start with, I am incredible. I am good enough. And I can do anything through the Lord that strengthens me. Start there, have that thought in your mind as you go deep and as you do your meditate, your relaxation exercise. Let that idea of flow in and just focused on that one idea for two to five minutes, or maybe you have trouble with overwhelm or I don't have enough time. Start with, I have unlimited time to accomplish all the things I need to accomplish in my day. I love that one. You guys, I say that multiple times a day. And if you say it during your moments of deep relaxation, you're going to rewire your mindset so that when you're in those moments of overwhelm, your brain automatically pulls that thought up. Hey Steph, remember you have unlimited time. It's all good baby. So gravy, just relax, breathe into your star player. We got you. Okay. So that's what I want you to work on. So let's recap. Number one, if you're not ready for meditation, find time that you can quiet your conscious mind every day. Look, number two, look for where you are already doing that or where you see an opportunity to do that. The answer might surprise you here. It might surprise you. Is it your five minutes when you wake up? Is that your shower? Is it actually sitting down and doing a focus meditation? Is it devotional time? Is it a walk? Maybe you take a walk and you're able to just really silence yourself. Is it a workout? What is it? What is it for you? Number three, go into those relaxation times with a focused idea that you want to reframe into the hard wiring of your brain. Pick one and only one. And I would say to work on one for a full week before you come up with a new one, repetition creates a deeply rooted idea or thought and the stuff we have in there. Ladies, we've been, we've been rethinking that crap for years, years, and decades. For some of us, you may find yourself picking a new affirmation or a new positive rewire, planting it into your subconscious, and then finding that you continue to come back to that in a negative way. You need to work on it for longer. Okay? Some people maybe they need to, to work on one thought for a month. I don't know. You know, I have no idea, but at least focus on one really core thought at a time. We'll have, we have lots of stuff we want to work on, but you have so many years ahead of you that you can work on this. So pick one thing. What's the biggest one you feel is holding you back and start there. Number four. And lastly, make time for this. Every day, everybody has the same 24 hours in the day Hyundai. Okay. You know, you've heard that before and it's true. So you have to be intentional about your time pick what works for you and then time block it in your planner. Seriously, guys, I live from my planner. We're going to have a podcast. I'm planning, probably a hundred of them. Cause like, that's my jam and I love it. You can do any and everything you want to do in a day. You can be successful at everything. You really truly can. You can balance business yourself, your own health, your mindset, your spirituality, your relationships. You can have it all. You can. I'm going to teach you that you can have it all. I want you to embody that thought I can have it all. You can. Maybe that's the thought you want to start with because you are able and you are supported and you are full of the light that comes down and fills you with the motivation to make these changes that you need to make. Let me wrap up. I hope that you learn something. I loved this message because I had no idea I was doing it. And I think it helps women realize you don't have to do specifically meditation or be hypnotized and find an hour a day for this stuff. We have to fit it in. And I realize I'm already doing that. So why not multitask what we do best and tap in to our hard wire of our brain, reframe it during the times that work best as mamas and as mompreneurs. So if you found this helpful, I want to hear from you, come on over to the mompreneur group, drop me a comment, send me a private message. Go to iTunes, leave me a review. I want to hear from you. My greatest joy is knowing that I am making an impact on you. Take a couple of minutes and let me know. I just want to pray that you have so much time and energy to accomplish all the things you need to accomplish today. And every single day, I pray that you're able to realize that this conscious mind is simply thoughts that are coming from deep rooted ideas that have been planted into you. So I want you to step into your power and understand that you can re frame those thoughts. You have the power, you have the time and you have the smarts to understand how to change your mind so that you can truly change your life. And I pray that you have clarity on your business today.
