“Maybe Queen, You Were Born For Such a Time as THIS.” -Esther 4:14
Today is Adar 13. Many years ago, Queen Esther began her fast so she could approach the king and ask him to spare her people. Ok... so what’s the big deal? Esther was facing big-time obstacles. -She wasn’t allowed to approach the king unless summoned. -She was going to OUT the kings right hand man, Haman. -She was facing possible death for this defiance. -An entire race of people was depending on her. Pressure? Maybe a little. But she didn’t hide. She didn’t wonder and wait thinking.... who am I? She didn’t hope someone else would do it.... -Esther chose FAITH over FEAR. -She said YES and AMEN to the MOMENT that changed history forever. -She prayed and approached the king. He loved her so much he spared her people and put Haman to death. I pray that today sis you find courage like Esther. You listen to the Holy Spirit prompting and RISE up when you don’t know the outcome. That you open your mouth when you don’t have the words. Because.... YOU WERE BORN FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS. I just, I can't believe that we are sitting on the exact day of queen Esther so many, many, many years ago, as she went into a time of fasting and then did one of the most courageous things that she could have ever, ever, ever, ever done that changed the course of history that changed generations and that completely transformed our world so that we could be sitting here in strength, in good fortune and walking in all of our calling work. So I just want to kind of celebrate with you today and share this super cool story of Esther and how it all so divinely links to where you sit today, just sit back and enjoy today's episode. I believe when we let God light our path, we experienced true miracles. Welcome sister. Let's get pumped up for today's show. All right, so let's dig into this. So the first thing that is super, super cool about the time that we are all in right now as kingdom entrepreneurs, as daughters of the King, is that we are actually in the month of Adar. When we look at the Hebrew calendar and what is super cool about that is a Dar means strength. And when we have strength, we are striving for not our own might not our own knowledge, not any of those things, but strength in the Lord, right? And having joy, finding our joy in the Lord, Psalm 16, 11 is in his presence is fullness enjoy. So I love that we are sitting in a month right now, just of joy. And I think it's super cool as the deeper that I get into my own spiritual growth journey, into my own relationship with God and digging into the cool, super cool clues that he reveals to me through scripture through looking at Hebrew time versus Grigor Grigorian time. That's how you say this. That's the one thing about all this stuff is the pronunciations, right? But the super cool clues and divine timing is constantly revealed. And I just, I want to share with you a really awesome story today of just being courageous, just stepping up and out, even when everything is against you, even when the world is hard or you don't know the outcome, we're going to go all the way, way back today to celebrate this time with the queen of Esther, because what's so cool. Is that today, Thursday, let me get my little calendar in front of me here at Thursday, February 25th, we are this two day, went back in time is actually a Dar 13, which was the day that Esther began her fast. I'm going to share the story of Esther with you in a moment tomorrow, February 26 is actually a Dar 14, which is the feast of lots. And then on Saturday, the 15th is celebrating PRM and the, this is the actual marked time in history when Esther did the one of the most courageous things. And she was one of the most incredible women of the book. And I think that her story should be highlighted today because here we sit strong, powerful kingdom women who are all striving to really reach our full potential in what God has for our lives. And we can look to strong women and mentors from the Bible to just get it, those lessons. So let me start by sharing with you, just a cliff notes of the book of Esther. And you guys have probably heard Esther four 14, which is perhaps queen. You were born for such a time as this. And like, I love that verse. I get chills when I hear that verse. Oh my goodness. And I highly recommend that you all, don't just take this episode as some soul and spirit fuel foods, soul food, soul food, but go and read the book of Esther day. Sit in celebration with this marked time in history. It's just so cool. And just a few tips that I shared with another friend recently that I'm just inserting here. Cause I just, I don't know. I just had that feeling that I should. If you're having a hard time, like hearing from scripture, like letting it come alive inside of you, as you read it, I want to just first pray over the scripture. You know, my spiritual mentor Miranda taught me that as you sit before you open your Bible before you open that Bible study or that scripture just place your hands on the Bible and father God, I step into the book of Esther. I pray that it would come alive, that the words would just seep into my heart and into my mind and create for me the roadmap of my own life. And I pray that you would speak to me through this scripture, that it would just leap from the pages that I would be drawn into this story to learn from you today. Yes. Jesus' name. Amen. So that was a little tip for my spiritual mentor, but the second thing was finding a translation that speaks to your heart. And it gets a little crazy, right? When we've, when we grew up religious, like I did not necessarily grow up religious necessarily, but I know some of you did and it's hard to, well, I have to read, you know, new King James or whatnot, but do you, but do you, shouldn't you find a translation that speaks to your heart, that lights up your life, that allows you to grow in that spiritual growth in that relationship with God, with Holy spirit, letting Holy spirit, just speak through those pages to you. And so that's what I believe. And so it started with new living translation and then it morphed to the message. And now I'm reading the passion translation. And I can tell you the difference in just the way that the words touch my heart is awesome. So whatever that means for you pray over that. See if there's a different translation that maybe God wants to reveal to you to help you really resonate with his word. Okay. Okay. Okay. So let's get back to our story here. So the book of Esther in the Bible, go check it out. It's a short book. It's not going to take you a ton of time. I can, you can read it in one sitting, but basically Esther became queen in 479 BC. Esther became queen because the King chose her. And there this long story of all the things that happen prior to that point, which I'll skip. But basically Esther becomes the queen of Persia and the King loved Esther more than all the women. And she found favor and kindness with him. That's Esther two 17. Now it was said that she was extremely beautiful, extremely intelligent, and Esther was a Jew. So in chapters three, two and four of, of Esther, you see that Mordecai who was Esther's guardian and cousin, refuse to bow down and play and pay homage to Haman. And Haman was a high ranking official next to the King Kings or jerseys Xerxes. I never say that. Right. Okay. So what happened is that Haman became infuriated. Haman was like, that's it y'all I'm coming for you. Right? And he had this crazy plot to destroy all the Jews in the kingdom because well, his ego pride, he didn't like it, that they were not bowing down to him. So Mordecai the cousin, he hears it, the plot and he reports it to Esther Wright, who is the queen at the time. And what does he say to her for if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place. And your father's house will perish, who knows queen, whether you were born for such a time as this, which is four 14, which I mentioned earlier. So that versus basically saying like, Hey cousin, like it's now or never girl, like you got to speak out for us. We're about to be murdered. Right? Th the Jewish race is about to be extinguished. Like you've got to rise up and say something to the King. You got to tell him about this. So from chapters five through 10 Esther, basically outwits Haman. Who's that right hand of the King. And she, she fasts, she prays and against all odds, because at this time women were not allowed or even the queen was not allowed to approach the King less summoned, or you could be put to death. So she has to face death and potentially be killed in order to approach the King and tell him about this plot from Hayman. So she fasts and that you guys started to day a Dar 13. So crazy. We're sitting here on the day. Can you imagine being in a time when your entire, your entire race, your people are facing imminent death and it's all riding on, whether you are brave enough to approach the King and then you may be put to death yourself. So it's kind of, she was in this position of I'm going to exchange my life for the good of my people. Oh my goodness. So here she is, she's fasting. And she basically outwits Haman. She takes her position and her plea to the King and asks him for protection of her Jewish people from Haman's wicked plans, the King, because he loved Esther so much. And out of his anger instead attacked Haman. And he was like, queen, whatever you want in this kingdom, it will be yours. And so she ends up being like, yeah, you know, we'll like, put Haman's head on a stick, which is like, you know, a little much, but the point, the point of that is that Esther courageously stepped out. Even though Esther put all of her faith in God, she had to choose faith over fear so many years ago. And she had to muster up this incredible immense amount of courage to go to the King, which ultimately here's the moral of this crazy story. It ultimately completely saved, not just her people that were living then and there, but generation on generation on generation that would have thus been extinguished. If this plan had been played out. So what do I take from this story that I so want you to get right now? A few things. The first is that you sister, you listening to this episode right here, right now, we're born for a time such as this, you, your plans have already been created. God goes before us and after us and he is omnipresent and he knows what you were created to do. He knows. And he is planting ideas and stories and callings and purpose and the path before your feet and the ordain relationships. And he is putting it all before you and you, you have to choose, are you going to take courageous action? Are you going to claim the birthright, which is yours, which is that you were born for a time such as this, because friend, you are anointed you. Yeah. It's like me. Is that for real? And it all comes down to, if you are willing, if you are willing to say, choose me, if you are willing to be courageous and step out in fear today, tomorrow and every day, regardless of what the repercussions, the consequences of that may be because the world will always try to come at us in fear. And if Esther had stayed quiet, can you imagine what would have happened? But instead she opened her mouth, right? And when we open our mouth, God will fill it. What else? Learning to communicate like Esther praying, fasting before a big life situation or before something big and amazing is about to take place in our lives. And then putting all of our trust and faith in him and stepping out courageously and saying, I am here for this regardless. I am going to step out in faith for God's glory. Also awakening to your true authority and leadership. Here was Esther. This woman who became queen, who wasn't to come, unless summoned, who was not to speak unless spoken to. And yet just like Roman eight 37 says awaken to her true authority and leadership in him. And it's time for us as kingdom entrepreneurs, as chosen women who are here to use our gifts for God's glory to awaken to our true authority and leadership in Christ, sisters. We're. So here for this, I hope that you learned from this story. I pray that you go check out Esther and just read, read that story, let the pages come alive for you. And then we just take the story of courageous action and put it into our hearts and wear it like armor. And we show up over the next few days to celebrate what Esther has done for us paving the way and that we thank her. And also that we show up just like Esther wearing our courageous armor of God, finding our joy, our strength, and our purpose, all in him. So here for this y'all all right. And every day that you are rising up into your authority, into your leadership. I pray that you are wearing that armor of God and speaking out and speaking up for whatever that purpose is. That's on your heart, whatever the things are that you are called to stand for, that you are taking courageous action in pursuit of those things that you're trusting in God, knowing that he has equipped you, that you are wearing his armor every single day. And I just pray over your fearlessness. I pray that you cashed your worries, anxiety, fears, what ifs, comparison, judgment, all of those things of the world just shatter away from you, fall away from you and you cast them onto him because he will bear that weight for you so that you can walk in freedom.
