Hi, mama! How are you? It's almost the long weekend! Woooooooo! In celebration (and the fact that I'll be enjoying some R&R on Thursday), this episode is already available, EARLY!

I am sooo excited for you hear a LIVE coaching session. Before I was a part of this world, I always wondered what 'coaching' meant, and how it could possibly be worth an investment. If only I could have been a fly on the wall, I would have invested YEARS earlier. Coaching is life-changing, transformational, and a must.

I actually had my own coaching session yesterday and in 45 minutes I broke down and cried, had an epiphany about what's next, and felt the holy spirit move me... again. Talk about scaling up.

A little background on my clients:

I met these two faith-driven mamas, Megan & Courtney when they interviewed me for their podcast, Unshaken. They were so fun and down-to-earth. I loved their hustle and heart. I loved how they were Trusting in God while taking action on their dream. When Megan started asking me for help on monetizing their quickly growing brand, I knew I could help them uncover the fuel for their fire.

In today's session, I help the ladies dig into their micro-niche, choose categories that will best serve their avatar, and lay out 2 mini courses that align with their business model. We price the courses, and I even give them a deadline! (What...I'm a 3 on the enneagram!)

I know you'll enjoy this, and I think you'll walk away with a world of new perspective.

Love and light,
Stef

P.S. If you enjoy this episode, be sure to share a screenshot in your IG stories! I will shout you out on my stories! Yeahhh!!!!!

We clarify their mission, and then I teach the girls how to monetize their podcast. And we even go into specifics on what courses they should create, how to price those courses and how to best launch those courses. It's really pure gold. So I really hope you enjoy. And I want you to think about how I can help you further your mission here on earth. And I want you to head over to stefaniegass.com/work with me and see if there's a solution for you. I have products starting at $9. So if you think you can't afford it, sister, think again. And if you want to have a private coaching session, just like Megan and Courtney, I want you to go to Stephanie gas.com/work with me and book a consultation call. And we can see if working together is right for you. All right, let's dig in.

What's up. Mama boss. Welcome back to the mompreneur mastermind show. I'm Stephanie gas, success strategist and passive income queen creator. You can find out more and connect with me over@stephaniegas.com. So grab that cup of coffee or fill up that glass of wine and let's dig in to today's show.

Hello ladies. Hi, Megan and Courtney. Welcome to The Mompreneur Mastermind Show. So today we are digging into a live coaching session, which is going to be really fun. And I told you guys to act like we are not live right now that you're not going to be on play show that it's just us having a conversation. And I really hope, you know, we can solve some problems in your businesses and help get you guys to what's next. So for the listeners, can you guys talk us through a little bit about who you are and what you guys are doing right now in your business? Let's start with that. Okay. Yeah, we can. Well, we are the hosts of the unshaken podcast. I would say that's our main thing right now and we just want to season two, so we're still pretty early on, but we have a Facebook group, a secret community. So we have women that are there. And then we also have a website. I worked for corporate America full time and also have a blog. And then Courtney is a, a wedding photographers. We have all the things.

That's so awesome though. It's so awesome to have all the things, cause that means you guys are growing and you're scaling and that's super fun.

Yeah. We were just talking today about it. Cause we have things that like how we met was working for a local television station. So we have some things that we have in common as far as our experience, but we also have very different backgrounds that we bring to the table. So we think that's why we worked so well together. But it also is like, where do we start? Because we have all these different things that we could teach people or, you know, courses or downloads or whatever. I don't know. There's a lot, we have like so many ideas and it's very overwhelming. Like just lists of stuff to do. And we, we feed off each other really well. So, you know, we'll be like, yeah. And then we can do this and then we'll go on tour and then, you know, we're going to have, and then we're going to live in Tahiti, you know, really quick. So we're trying to like agree and Do all the way. I'm like a private jet.

It's gonna be awesome. And then we're going to be president and like, yeah. So we're trying to reign it in and harness like, okay, step one, where like, it does help because it gives clarity on like, okay, where are we trying to get to? And like gives you a little more focus of like, okay, well, yeah, we could make something about that, but that really doesn't lead us to where we're trying to go. So I think that was good. But yeah,

Let's start with, what would be the number one goal for you guys to get out of this conversation with me today? What's the number one goal or number one thing we need to achieve.

I would say that we are looking to really decide what type of passive income we can start with our podcasts. So whether that is, you know, based off of your expertise stuff, if you think that's an ebook or a course, or what have you, but we really want a direction of where we can go to start making that kind of evergreen passive income. Would you, is that not for me? Yeah, definitely. I mean, I think we have an idea of our audience, but like I said, it's like, we have so many different areas of like what we could talk about and it's like, well, what do you think people want? Do they want more like mom stuff? Or do they want more entrepreneur stuff? Or like, you know what to eat? Like, I don't know for sure. So kind of figuring out that and like, do we do a course, like Megan said a book, just like little easier downloads that are cheaper. Like, cause I'm tend to gravitate towards that because I can't buy like, you know, the $300 ebook all the time. I want like, sure, Oh, I just need this one topic. And then once I get that, I'll go buy another one. You know? So I don't know. But so many directions you could

Go for sure. That's my jam. Like that's my zone of genius. So we're going to clarify that today for sure. So I want to start off by understanding and making sure we have a lot of clarity on your brand. So you guys have the podcast unshaken. Is that the brand itself? Yes. Okay. What would you say the mission of this podcast is what's the bottom line mission? What do you guys think that is?

So when we say this podcast is for women in all walks of life with a focus on motherhood, entrepreneurship, motivation, and self care, that's like our mission, other head motivation, self care entrepreneurs. Yeah.

So you're really talking to the mompreneur probably like she's probably a mom, right? Is that a base of who she is?

Yeah. And that's really, you know, we were definitely heavy on moms. I would say it's like 75% moms, but we also have, you know, we talk about everything from building your Instagram to interior design, to gut health, to, you know, all the things. So it's like, we cover all the topics that we're interested in because we feel like other people would be interested too. So our show is very much like having coffee with Megan and Courtney and going over how you decide what size rug to get. So it is going to be mom heavy, but we're trying hard not to exclude other people because that is still some of our listeners and audience is going to be like a married couple. That's probably getting ready to plan a family too.

I am taking notes. First of all, if you guys have, you're looking down and taking notes, but I think I want you guys to stop doing that. Okay. I want you to get a little bit more and you can still talk about lots of things, but let's get it under one umbrella. Okay. Because you're, you guys are going to lose traction. If one week you're talking to Steph and you're talking about entrepreneurship and motherhood, and next week you go start talking about a rug. I'm not coming back. Like I don't care about a rug, right. But you guys are gonna catch the rug, whoever that person is, and you're going to lose them when you go talk about something else. So let's discover the niche first. I want to do this with you. Okay. Then from the niche, we can create the categories and you can have typically three or four categories so we can expand it a bit. I want you guys to make sure anytime we are talking about a topic, it's going to touch one of these three categories. Okay. So let's go backward that mission. Say it again.

A podcast for women in all walks of law life with a focus on motherhood, entrepreneurship, motivation, and self care,

Motherhood, motivation, self care. That's just a general idea. It's not like our tagline or we just

Go back and forth on how to describe it. Like, okay, no, I feel you I'll help. It's like a very much of like women supporting women, trying to handle everything that life throws at you. You know what I mean? Like I try, I think those are just four areas that keep coming up. Okay. But it's not like, I mean, I don't know. I think when we started it, we were like, there's more women out there that are like us that are moms and like dealing with all these things, but that are really into their careers, whether they are entrepreneur or they're in corporate America. So I don't know. I feel like we're getting sucked into the thing, but we really wanted to like help women in their passions and live their purpose, you know, live their fair, Megan,

Live their purpose and passions. Okay. We're getting there. Trust me. Okay. So now I want to talk, I have one more question for you because there's two of you. We have to make sure that this brand is in alignment with both of you. Okay. So Megan, first, what is your passion? And then what is your zone of genius? Just
One or I can give you to

Try to give me one, the number one thing for you. If you can. I know that's tough, but

No, it is. My passion is helping other women through

My faith.

And I would say my zone of genius is management, digital marketing, like the whole boatload of online marketing, digital sales, managing that, pitching that, figuring out the best product to get you where you want to go. You're me. Hi. Hi Steph. We love each other and this is the best person to help me because we're both three on the Enneagram. I mean, I'm you?

Hello? Hello me. Okay. Hi. Okay. Courtney, tell me your passion and then your zone of genius.

My passion, that's hard to do probably something similar to Megan, like helping women through our faith. I think we have a pretty similar passion. Okay. Zone of genius is like creative, everything like photography, ascetics, graphic design interior does not like anything creative that like for like branding. I love helping people come up with ways to like get their branding out, which is probably where we like vibe in the marketing thing. Cause my aunt can be like, you need this and this and this to get in front of the right people. And I'll be like, and it's gonna look like, you know, like we're gonna take pictures. Oh, like yeah. Like art director and then logistics Megan's

Okay. Okay. So the beauty of that is at the root of your brand is faith. Okay. So if we're going to write down one route of everything that you guys embody, we're going to a faith. That's number one. Okay. Now the second thing we're going to write is entrepreneurship because of we're talking about management, like the digital marketing marketing side sales, if then we're talking about graphics and branding. You are literally speaking to the Christian female entrepreneur. Okay. And you guys probably we're getting to that direction, but if you're talking about rugs and your house, you're losing her. Okay. I get it because sometimes I'll go off a little bit and talk about something. Like I talked about how I lost weight, but I know that the Christian female entrepreneur is having those thoughts. You guys can still touch her by speaking about how she can simplify her life to create more time to run her business.

Right. You can teach her about how to start business, how to be creative. Should you create your own graphics or should you outsource, like you guys can talk about anything that touches faith and female entrepreneurship. That's where I would stay right now because you're still building this brand. You want to micro niche in and that's how you're going to stand out. If you guys talk about too much, too fast, you don't touch anyone. Right. How do you feel about that? Does that feel good? Does it make you squirm? Because we want to be sure that it feels in alignment before you,

I love that. I just think we do get pulled towards like moms a lot. We have a lot of moms that aren't necessarily entrepreneurs that are like our fan. Like they help us out. Like they comment, they engage with us. So it's kind of like where you think you're starting out on our project going one way. And then the Lord's like, Nope, actually this is going to be this. And we're like, Oh no. I think that's where we get worried about, do we embrace that? Or are we trying to stay? And you know what I mean? I don't know is that I feel like in Utah, I take it. And I think, yeah, no, I think you nailed it Steph because the faith and entrepreneurship, that's really where we get, we are pulled. And that's when our episodes aligned with that. Those were the ones that perform the best. But I think that our concern there is that we start to alienate people. But just from this conversation, I'm learning that that's okay because we're not here to serve every single person that is female. We're here to serve. Like our audience is going to jive with us and that's who Courtney and I are at our core or you know, very fateful Christians that are best friends that want to have an awesome business together and help women so bad.

Yes. And you guys, you know what I love when I repel people, I love it. Like haterade, I'm like, yes, get away from me because I don't want someone that is not in full alignment with me. They don't need to listen to me because there's someone else out there for that. I don't want those people to hire me because Lord knows you're going to despise that time that you're spending with that person. So you guys want to claim it a micro niche because that's how you rise above all of the other noise out there. And you set yourselves apart. And the reason you have to be in alignment with what you guys love. Because even if these moms that aren't entrepreneurs are listening to you today, you're going to find yourself talking about redesigning your mantle and want to stab yourself in the eyeball because it's not who you are.

Right? So you can't design content based on what you think the market wants. You design content for where you're being called to speak on what are the gifts that you've been given because those aren't there on purpose. Okay. And then the women will show up. Now, if mom is a big piece of it though, you can say mompreneur, but I think this entrepreneur piece, it's pretty much the root of, I think what you both were created for. Cause it's what lights you up. It's what you're good at. Yeah, no, I agree. I like that drilling down. So we look at the mission, let's look at the mission because this will help you clarify. And then we can talk about the categories and then how to monetize. So if we're looking at the mission, you said we've got motherhood, motivation, self care and entrepreneurship, which I think you can talk about all four of those things. Women supporting women, living their purpose and passions. So how about faith driven, female entrepreneurship, empowerment through encouraging stories, life experiences and tangible advice or tangible business advice. Yeah. You can play with that. Yeah. But doesn't that feel like more in alignment, it gives you guys clarity instead of grabbing onto it.

Yeah. It's definitely been hard for us to come up with one, like not a tagline, but like one mission statement. Cause we're always like, well, we want to do this. And like the whole unshaken name came from more than just being a woman of faith and entrepreneur. You know what I mean? So claiming your best life. I think I like, I mean, I like how that sounds it like drills down into it a little bit more.

Yeah. And I think really at the root of who you guys are, it's, you know, these best friends, basically, you're having these down to earth conversations where you can just empower other female entrepreneurs to live their best, most purposeful life. Maybe something like that. Okay. Yeah. Okay. So play with that mission. That was just me in like two seconds. But you guys take that from the recording and play with that and see if you can come up with the verbiage. That feels really good. I would put that mission into your podcast because the SEO is really good people that are searching for faith-based entrepreneurship, Christian entrepreneurship. Mompreneur so those keywords are going to be integral. You guys to get found.

Yeah. When you say that stuff you're talking about like in your description or in your like where, where should we put that kind of stuff?

Yeah. Put that in. You know, when you have the paragraph of what unshaken is and it's like the description portion,

Like on iTunes. Yes.

Yeah. Wherever your host is, put it there and it will distribute it out for your RSS automatically. Make sure it's on your website. Like everything you guys should do should feed the mission, everything. So you ask yourself before you take a guest, did they feed my mission before you put out a product? Is it in alignment with this mission before you talk about a topic, ask yourself, how does this feed our mission? Because you can only have big, massive change in the world. If you have some one specific button that you keep pushing, right? Yeah. Right. Okay. So categories, I think we're pretty clear. Cause I think you can talk about if we're talking to this pretty much 90% of them are moms. So mompreneur probably, she's a Christian or faith based. She's a mom she's talked to me about your avatar. What other characteristics does she have?

Yeah. So our avatar, it is it's that mom that we're trying to simplify her life. When she's listening to our episode, she can take away something from that. That's going to make her life easier. So, you know, she might be listening to our last episode. That was like how to not have burnout during the summer. Whether that is her, you know, if she's a teacher, but she's at home with her kids all the time. Or if it's somebody that's at corporate or if they're trying to lose weight, they haven't gotten there yet. Like we try to make sure that we have like a takeaway from the episode that they end our show and they're like, all right, I can do this. I'm not alone. I have a community that's supporting me. I'm on fire. Now we try to do that with every show.

So that's good. Except again, I think it's a little too broad. So let's dig in a little bit. Let's name her. So what do you guys do? You guys already have a name for her? You know, mine is Lola. What's your avatar's name?

Her name is Kate. All right.

Let's talk about Kate. So Kate's a mom. I love burnout. We know that she's facing burnout. What else is she facing? What is Kate? What is keeping us up at night?

Yeah, one thing we started to, or like go around doing some stuff on is like finances. Like she's trying to figure out how to start her business, where to put her money first. I think we talked about this actually in your episode, you're wanting to start your business and like you, where do you, where do you put that money first? So finances or even like separating your business, finances from your home finances. And like, we're thinking about like investments or stuff that women want to know more about

It, but it's not like, generally talk to me. It's not talked about a lot
Money. She's struggling with money. So take it, take it like keywords that you guys are going to help her with. Okay. So burnout investing in her business, right? How to start a business. You just said that, how do I start? Where do I start? What else does she need to do
No time. I mean, how can like shortcuts, hack? Where can I save her time? Like, I would find that

Like how to take care of yourself because that's a lot that's kind of fits under burnout. But I mean like you get you, like Megan said, you're burning all your time, your energy. And you know, you like can lose yourself or you can get like kind of lopsided and be, you know, just push out. You know? Like you don't want to lose your family. And Sandra is trying start this business

Boundaries would be kind of that catch all for that one priorities and boundaries. Okay. So I would definitely, she's struggling with that priorities boundaries. Let's talk about what about faith stuff? Because this is big for you guys. Where can you help her in faith? What's happening there?

When I think of that, a lot of it is the motivation and how not to let the fear and disappointment control your life and your business. Because even if there is a mom that's in corporate America, but she wants to leave. There's going to be a lot of fear. There's going to be a lot of disappointments or maybe they watched a website and a blog and she gave up very easily. So how do you overcome those objections and those struggles in your life? From the standpoint of having God on your side, that's what comes to mind first for me.

So let me read you who Kay, is you ready? Yeah. Right. So Kate is trying to become a female entrepreneur. She has a full-time job and she's a mama. She's totally burned out. She has no idea how to get started with this business. She doesn't have much money to invest in this business. So where does she start? How can she save? Where can she cheat the system and get going for free? How does she separate her home finances and her business? Finances. Where does she find time to launch this business? How does she prioritize? How is she going to set boundaries with her spouse when she starts this new business? And what about her job? Where does she find the motivation for all of this? Where does her faith and trust in God need to come in to get her through all of these fears and struggles. Okay. Do you feel hurt now?

I feel like Anthony and I could have been Kate. You know what I mean? We, I, we are her, we know her. Like we can help her cause we've been there.

That should bring you guys so much more clarity on what you're talking about in this podcast. Yeah. Can you think of any episodes?
That was why we started. We were like, we are Kate and we don't know what we're doing. Let's figure out how to do this, but maybe we record us trying to figure out how to do it and then we'll share, you know, like

That's I think definitely

That's B that's the beauty of it is that so often we are our own avatar, but we're not talking to her. Like we're lost in what we think people want instead of digging in. So deep that before you ever air an episode, is this serving Kate right now? Is she begging me for this solution? Right. Can you guys think of any episodes that you did that aren't serving cake?

Yes. I know Courtney and I are looking at a, at each other. I mean, it might've served cake, but it's not on this side of her lot. Like, that's not what she's struggling with. You know what I mean? Like, yeah. She might've wanted to help doing some of this stuff, but that's not her main focus right now.

So that's the kind of stuff you guys are going to say, keep each other in check and go. That's a cool topic. And maybe it's interesting, but it's not serving her right now. So we're going to table that. Okay. All right. We're really clear. Let's talk about monetizing. So knowing that you guys, we know her, we know what she needs right now. We know where your zone of genius is. Do you have any ideas that you want to pitch me and I'm going to help you streamline it?

Yes. Okay. Do you, do you do you want to explain it? Cause we, we were talking about this today, Steph and we were like, we have our call to step. Like where do we see this going? And you know, with Courtney expert, she is an expert at creative. Like she can make anything look beautiful on figuring out once you have something beautiful who would be interested in that pitching to your brand, selling it, getting it in front of the right people, that type of thing. And so, you know, kind of a course or an idea that we were throwing around is we eventually want unshaken to be more than just a podcast. Like we already have an ambassador program we're going at, we hope that this is going to be a company that we can have a legacy for our daughters. And so we started thinking about a course of how really to start your business from branding it, to understanding it, to, you know, finding who you're going after to then pitching those people and then monetizing it and making an income.

So kind of like canvas, how to start your, your business from point a to point, or maybe just where to start. Like I think a lot of this came about because a lot of times after episodes, we ended up talking to guests and then they're like, Hey, can I ask you some stuff real quick? And we're like, sure. And they'll bounce like, well, what do you think about my product? Or what do you think about my service? Where would you guys, like, how would you get the word out about it? And then me mean, Megan, they're like, duh, like you should get it. You should video this. You should do that.

And get in touch with the emotions of what you're doing and put that out there. So we have like all these ideas to try to help that avatar. I mean, if we're thinking I, the same person, Megan, she is that avatar. Exactly. She's a Christian entrepreneur. And then she's like, I need help getting the word out about my product. Something came into going, keep going. Yeah. So I think that like, however we can help her, whether it's a course or it's like, just to me, like I said before, I don't know if there's like a bundled, like a whole course of like just where to start girl or if there's like a branding, like a marketing, like maybe we are better at like the marketing part of it. Okay.

Okay. I have an idea. I'm sorry. I have to just have to tell you I'm so excited. Okay. So what if you had, because you're each, you have your own zone of genius. What if you guys created some mini courses because you don't want to do start your business a to Z because it's going to be $700 because you're going to put everything in the sink in there. It's going to be too big, too overwhelming, and she's going to get lost. Right. But what if you had some mini courses like unshakeable branding and this is Courtney's mini course and it's, I don't know, five mini modules, 15 minutes each it's what is branding? How to do your own branding, where to brand yourself, ways to brand yourself and finally hire me to do your branding at a premier product price point of, and you better like this better be the most premiere pricing ever because you're going to spend time on it.

Right? So that would be an idea in maybe another mini course, unshakable marketing. And this is Megan's course and or unshakeable launch unshakeable business launch. And you guys, I mean, imagine the possibilities here, you could have unshakable everything. You could have a catalog, but you want to start with, I think one each I wouldn't do it together. Yes. You're going to have the same housing of the courses and all of that. But I think let Courtney go create this branding cause that's her zone of genius. Well, Megan's creating this other mini course on marketing or sales or launch. And then the beauty of that is you guys are talking about this stuff and you can promote them both. Okay. Today we're talking about, you know, creating your own story and your branding using photography on Instagram. You're going to pitch Courtney's course. And then the next episode, maybe you're talking about scaling your business or anything else that has to do with sales and marketing falls under Megan's mini course. How do you feel? Is that like,

Hi, how are you guys receiving mat? No, I love that. That was my fear with doing something big is that it would be like not a realistic thing for that avatar starting out. So I think mini courses is definitely the way to go.

I love the play on like the unshakeable branding, like, like that's so perfect in alignment with your podcast. And then here's the other beauty of a small course. You guys, you're going to grow over time and Kate is going to evolve with you and you're going to be able to see which course is selling more. Is there a high demand for one category or another? And then you can build upon this product roadmap later where, okay. You know, we've noticed that marketing is selling out, let's create something else. That's a more premier price point that is in that same realm. And as you guys grow and get to know Kate more and you're going to get better at creating courses. So do something simple in the beginning just to start pulling an income.
How do we know how to price that? Yeah. I was just going to take you where to host it, like, okay,

Do you have any money to spend on this or do you need to do it for free?

I mean, I think Courtney don't like to commit to things. I don't know if you know, like, well maybe, but probably not. You know? Well, what do you mean for free? And Courtney's like, no, no. And Megan's like, yes. Okay. This is kind of funny, Megan. Don't be like, some will send me stuff all the time and be like, what about this? What about this? I'm like, girl, we can not buy everything. And then, I mean, it's good. Cause she like stays on top of all the new stuff. So I mean, that's, that's good.

Because one of you, one is really ready and willing to spend. And then one person's like, do we really need it? So I think that's a perfect checks and balance. So let's talk about that. Let's first talk about pricing. You want to price your product based on the result. So if somebody is listening to your show, we know she's Christian mama. She really wants to brand herself. Like let's say that she's full-time corporate. And she has this vision of creating a soap business on Etsy and she wants to do that. How does she start? What does the logo mean? Where does she get that? How can she do it herself? If she doesn't want to pay someone? What does branding mean? How does she create a cohesive story and a brand for this new soap business? You take that woman and you asked her, what are you willing to pay that in the end of maybe one week, I've given you all the solutions to those questions in one week, what are you willing to pay me for that solution? Not how big the course is. Not how beefy cause that I'm like cut out the fluff, just get me to my end goal. Right? What would you guys pay for that? And your answers may be different. Yeah.

And that's okay to say, I mean, on one hand, I totally see that this is my struggle. Cause it's the same in wedding photography. I totally see the value of not having to do all the research and somebody has just put it all out here for you. I think sometimes courses get a bad rap though, because they're full of fluff. So if you're really clear about like, Hey, we're not just like fluffing this up, we're going to give you ABC. It's very short actually. You know, like there aren't 20 pages. So then I'm like, I see the value of you would pay for that. Cause you're saving a lot of time, but I'm also like if you're that mom and you don't have the money, you have to tell yourself, like I don't have the money. I have to do the Reese. I have to do the legwork.

And that's who, that's not who you're selling to. Right. Cause she's not ready to invest in herself. And we're going to say, we love you. Take all our free content. We're here if you need us. But if you are she's ready, she goes, I have my checkbook ready? Who has my solution? It's the easiest to understand. I'm going to get through it quickly. There's zero fluff in here. What does she say?

I would pay like 50 bucks or like in 30 or 40 range, depending on how much, how many answers I was getting. Okay.

And for me, if it's like under a hundred dollars, I don't even think about it. I'm like, Oh 99 bucks. I'm done. And then even if it's over that I've bought, you know, a three 95 course because I'm like, I've seen the testimonials. This girl is bomb. Take my money, teach me how to do the thing so that I can go make my money back. So, you know, to me, anything under a hundred dollars to me is like no brainer. If I need it, I'm buying it. And then like the premier pricing. I mean, if I see a course, that's even like $500 and I need it. I'm like I will save the money. I will make it happen because I don't have the time to do the research.

I totally agree with Megan on some of those, it's just where you're at in your life there. Like with what you can spin, you know what I mean? Like, cause I, I agree with her on a lot of the stuff.

That she's, that we get. So you have branding though. Let's think about branding for a second and then we'll look into Megan's course. You have to have it. You have to have it to be an online entrepreneur. So here's their choice. Take this course from Courtney. And hopefully Courtney, you can actually teach them how to just do it themselves, right? Here's how you just do this yourself. You will save them thousands of dollars on outsourcing thousands or at the end of the course, Hey, I've taught you how to do it yourself. If you still need help or you want me to do it, hire me for thousands. So you're actually saving them. And that's the pitch it's Hey, for $97, you want to learn what branding is, how to create a story brand all about your mission and then teach them actual graphic side of it too. Here's how you create a simple logo and CAMBA use your brain to teach the human that doesn't understand color and palette and what branding looks like and then teach them what a brand means.

Like the story, like what I just did with you guys, how do we come up with your mission? We need an avatar. We need a brand, this cohesive story. Oh my gosh. I would pay $97 all day and seven is psychology and then seven K I would probably go 97 on the branding course. I think for your avatar being, I mean, she's still making money cause she's probably working $97. It's not a big ass, not for that value. Okay. So then let's talk Megan's course. So Megan, if you're doing and how do you feel about marketing? I don't know if that's the right one for you or if it's launch or if it's like a mini launch or business course, like just getting started with entrepreneurship and you're talking about just marketing in general.

Yeah. I mean, my background is I've been in digital media for 10 years. I worked for TV stations for corporate America and I managed teams. So I'm really good with like helping you set up systems in place that are going to help you get where you need to go. And you know, that's anywhere from where to put it online, who you should market to, how you should market to them. And then deciding like if you talk to that mom that has an Etsy shop and she wants to make $35,000 a year on her soap business, I can teach her who to talk to and walk backwards into that so that she knows she's going to hit her budget.

It's digital marketing one Oh one in essence for any new business, right? Yeah. That's what yours is. So what would you guys pay for that you're getting in and you're at the point of have this business idea ready to execute. How do I market? Who do I market to? Which platform makes the most sense for me? How do I put my message out? What are you gonna pay for that to get you to that thing?

End result. My gut reaction is like one 97 because we're going to make her money off of this. Now, you know, I feel like branding with what Courtney so great at is. She's like, I can teach you how to come up with this idea. And that is step one. You know what I mean? And then we move into now, we're going to teach you how to monetize that and where to go. So it's like the next layer almost. I feel, I love that. What would you pay?

No, I think that makes total sense. I'm just like super frugal and like this might not be working, you know, but I mean, I agree with the idea behind it and like I'll help you get your thoughts out on the paper and create like a bit, like you said a story and then get a logo and get it on paper, get it out of your brain onto a computer or whatever your thing's going to be. And then Nagin can help you get it to your audience. Execute it. Oh my gosh.

This is working out so beautifully. Okay. So we've got 97 Courtney. I think I really like one 47 or one night. If you end up like, you're going to know once you put it together. Holy smokes. This is literally changing her bottom line. It better be one 97. Okay. But remember to cut out the fluff, just get her to that. And you guys don't feel weird about it. Doesn't matter how long this course is. Does it get her to the end goal? Okay. So that's what I would do. Now. You guys can create those courses. Don't overthink it, map it out, create the outline, record the videos like this on zoom. I just use a PowerPoint slide and I, my screen.

And record the PowerPoint. And I actually don't even talk. That's the thing. It's just the PowerPoint. And then I do an intro video. Hey girls, welcome to the course. This is how you're going to get the best bang out of it. That it does that you've taken courses. You guys know how they feel. I would have a couple of downloads in there just to make it juicy. And of course Courtney's is going to have more of that because hers is really graphic driven and then make the modules short because she's a mom entrepreneur, she's got a short 15 minutes or so, right. Each module has got maybe four mini videos or something. So I would go there. And if you guys need to meet again later, we can do another session. Once you're like, we have both courses and we need your help just organizing them or whatnot.

That's fine. And then here's how you put it together. So you got all the videos, you've got all the downloads. You can totally like hack it and do it for free by putting them up on YouTube, use unlisted videos and create a drip system through your email marketing. Now, a lot of that's the only, my only problem with this is the payment process is probably going to be. And I don't know you, I don't know what you guys have set up on your backend, but you need a payment system and then it would add them to the email list and the email list would auto respond and drop the courses in over a month. Okay. That's a freebie hack or you can invest in teachable. That's the one I use. They're all fine. So Jobie I like teachable personally. They're all similar and it's an investment, but if you think you're going course creator and you're going to have six or seven courses down the road, just do it there because you're going to have to recreate it later.

If you end up converting, I started free and it was fine until I was making some money on my courses. It was the biggest pain in the booty ever to convert. So just take that into account and if you're willing to convert cool, when you do it on YouTube, I mean, versus doing like teachable, is it more secure? Cause like you want to give it to the people that are paid for it, but you also want to protect it. So because even though it's unlisted, they'll have the link right now. If someone buys it on teachable, they have a login, they could share the login with their friend. You can't control that. I do have like a legal disclaimer in all of my courses at the beginning. And it's like, you know, I understand that there's proprietary rights. And then you're in violation for sharing this, something like that.

So you can put some verbiage in there to protect your course, but we just, you know, you can't control it and it'll happen. And it's just, don't worry about it. Yeah. So any other questions on the course piece? Cause I had an idea for launch and then, and then I know we're almost out of time. No, that's what I was going to say. Next probably is like, cause my whole thing about getting people to buy into your stuff is that you have to show that you're an expert in that area. And so a lot of the courses that we see, they do, like, you know, a 30 minute or hour freebie and like Basically preview it. Yeah.

And you can sign up for the course. Is that the only way to do it? Or like what is your advice on you guys have a podcast and your podcast is really doing well, getting a ton of traction, your number one place to sell is there. So every, every show, Hey girl, did you know, we have an unshakable branding course that just launched. We're going to take you through actually be like, Courtney is going to take you through because she's the expert. She's going to take you guys through branding. How to set up this up, how to set that up, how you can do your own. She's literally going to save you thousands of dollars on launching branding for your business, head on over to blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.com and get enrolled ASAP. We have promotion, airy pricing something, right? Every single episode do not feel weird about this because you guys need to monetize and they're getting so much free value from you. They'll want to pay for this. Okay. So that's the number one place to sell. And then I think hopefully you guys have an email list that you're starting to nurture. Okay. Yeah.

Send them your podcast episode every week with just the tiny little, this is what this is about at the bottom of the email. Hey girl, did you know, we just launched this and this. And I actually think you guys should do a 30 day promo where they get both courses. If they buy right now and give him a 30 day window and for 30 days, all you talk about is the unshakeable bundle. That's it? Because it's such an amazing, and maybe you launch it at maybe for one 27, they get both or like, you know, give them something that's really a great deal because it gets you traction. It gets people to take the course so that you can get reviews so that it gives you something really exciting to talk about. And then you would just, once the promo is done, they can buy them standalone. And then maybe you relaunch it again as like a Christmas promotion or something. Right. Cool. That's what I would do. And I think those are the best places to sell future strategy. Yes. You can have an evergreen webinar, but because you're pouring into the podcast right now, go there. That's where your audience is. They're ready to buy from you. They're waiting to hear what you have to offer them.

I love that. That was going to be one of my questions is, is how do we, how could we bundle it together and just make it? And I love to do that at the introduction. Like the very beginning introductory offer, you get both of these courses limited to 30 days. And do you limit your like entries? So do you say there's only 20 seats available? Or how do you do that at all? Or no,

You could. Anything that drives urgency, drive sales, anything. Right. So introductory offers limited number available and you can combo it. Yeah. Anything that's that buyer's psychology and Megan, you're going to be really good at this. Coming up with a special offer, do it. And you can

Always do different offers too. Like maybe this first one is this early bird pricing special. What's the unshakeable bundle. You get this pricing then maybe, you know, you got something else down the road that's we only have a hundred seats available and you get XYZ or, you know, so you guys can keep playing with that, but do something in the benefit of, of that buyer. Psychology to get them to pull the trigger. They don't want to think, Oh, this is always available. I'll just find it later. Yeah. I love it. I'm excited for you guys.

Definitely. You've definitely helped us get some direction for sure. And just all the little things that we will think of back and forth like price or where should we host it or what, you know, it delays you from getting it done because you just analyze

You do. And, but you know what? I would rather see you guys take action, do something. And then even if six months down the road, something's not working out, you've still grown from it. You've learned a new process. Like I've had courses that have totally flopped. It helped me now I'm better now. I'm better at course creation. Now I better understand my, my Lola and I know what she really needs from me. And just, everything's a learning experience and you're going to grow. You're going to create more courses in the future. So don't wait on it. It doesn't need to be perfect. It means to get them to the end result. Don't worry about it being perfect or looking a certain way. I took a course recently $500. I get into her course if a word doc with her face. And she's, she's like typing it as she's talking and the content was phenomenal. And that was the, that was the course, but it was the content and that's what people are paying for. So don't get stuck in the details.

Cool. No, I think we needed to hear that for sure. Feel good about it court. I feel like the pressure's on now because she's like laid it all out. So she's waiting for the courses to launch in like a month. I want to see what is a realistic timeframe. Yeah.

I'm actually going to give you a deadline. Okay. So here we are at June 14th, it's the summer. You guys can totally manipulate your spouses into watching your kids for like an entire day. Right? Knock out the video pieces. I think you guys should get this thing done. Nobody really likes to buy in the summer. So I think you need to take the rest of the summer to get both courses completely finished. I would try to launch them, let the kids get back into school no later than mid August. That would be the latest. And then you would launch for a month. So like from August 15th to September 15th is launch.

So you have two months to do this.

Let's go, let's go. All right. My beautiful friends. Thank you guys. That was so fun. You know, I just pray over both of you that you have so much success and abundance in your business and all the clarity and inspiration comes rushing to you and you're full of confidence and motivation as you guys go forward on this school. Yes girl. Thank you so much. You're welcome. Well, I'll talk to you guys soon. I'll be cheering for you. All right, bye. Bye. Bye. Hello. How in love with those girls? Are you guys? I just love them so much. And I'm so grateful that I was able to help them navigate some of their biggest business constraints and help them grow forward and scale and hopefully monetize in a really big way. If you are in that position right now, I pray that you have clarity and inspiration and motivation to leap forward and figure out any and everything in your business that you need to, to really go out and touch the people you were meant to touch.

I pray that God's favor surrounds you. Now that you have the abundance, you need to invest in the programs and the coaching and the mentorship to get you to the next level, because this, I am cheering for you. I truly believe in you more than you know, and I appreciate you sending you so much love and light, Stef.
