Hey girl, heyyyy!
I knew I had a million things to do.
My house felt like it was closing in on me... toys everywhere, dishes spilling out of the sink. 2 cups of coffee in and all I felt like doing was hiding under a cozy blanket and binge watching Santa Clarita Diet (btw... if you haven't watched that yet...disregard the rest of this message immediately). I'M KIDDING. kind of.
Anyway, I had a decision. Buckle down and get it together, or stay uninspired.
I chose growth. I choose growth. At least 99% of the time. teehee.
I got out my planner and I started jotting down a list of things that inspire me. What are the activities, actions, things, people... what do I NEED to fuel my soul? So that I wake up inspired, happy, and ME.
I came up with 21 things. I then pared it down to the TOP 5 things that I NEED annually, monthly, weekly, and daily to keep my inspiration at an all time high.
And, beautiful soul - I'm sharing them with YOU on today's podcast episode.
From hanging out with happy humans to crafting a vision for your life and everything in-between... these tips are gold.
Let's dig in.
Love and light,

You can find out more and connect with me over at stefaniegass.com. So grab that cup of coffee or fill up that glass of wine and let's dig in to today's show. All right, super pumped. Let's talk, spur ration. So number one is to spend time with someone who inspires you. This one seems like an obvious no-brainer, but so often I find myself and you probably find yourself pigeon-holed in your office, your home office, or at a Starbucks or whatever. And you're just working head down, digging into followups, client appointments and whatnot. And so often we lose the in-person touch that we need to stay inspired. I know that I do. And so I'm sure that this is something that might be happening for you and you guys spending time with someone who you absolutely admire somebody that motivates you, that inspires you. This is a great way to just inject that inspiration back into your business, back into your life
And listen, the positive influence of a mentor of some type is truly invaluable. It's a gift that allows these other people that inspire you that are maybe a few steps ahead of you in your business or just in life in general, or they have that incredible spirit that positive can-do attitude. It allows them to pour that back into you, and then you can pay it forward by being a better version, right by staying inspired and motivated to continue to bettering yourself and growing your own business. Believe me, I say that those people who have had success or those people that are out there in the coaching field and they're offering mentorship opportunities for you, they have this established success, and they're a bit further along than you are. They truly want to help you get where they are today. Okay. So what does this mean?
You can spend time with just a friend who's super inspirational. Like I've got a couple girlfriends that you get with them. And I know when we get together, we're brainstorming or excited or bouncing ideas off of each other. I leave that meeting like just rejuvenated. It's like I've had like my green juice and I'm ready to go kill it. You know, do you guys have those friends? And even if it's a phone call, I get it. Some of us have kids, some of us have spouses, some of us have full-time jobs. So it's hard to squeeze it in. But I think even if you can do a phone call a week or send a voice text, one of my favorite things is I have this friend and we always lift each other up and I'll, I'll just voice, text her and be like, yo girl, like what's going on?
I had this awesome idea. And even a simple voice text can get me reinspired to go conquer my day. If you don't have a close friend like that, get out there and meet someone. Even if the friend isn't local to you, you guys could be email buddies. I have some other podcast mamas that I've recently started collaborating with and we can send voice texts to each other and congratulate each other or, or send ideas and brainstorm. So it's someone who inspires you. If this can be a friend, this can be someone else in your niche. This can be someone that if you're in network marketing and upline, downline a sideline, I mean, anything, you can take that a step further and you can have a paid mentor or coach, right? This is going to take it a whole nother step further because this mentor coach not only inspires and motivates you.
I hope if not, maybe it's time to shop for a new coach, but they also add that level of accountability. Right? And this can be gosh, once a month. I mean, I know for me, I have 50 minute strategy sessions with people just once a month. And this keeps them excited. Looking forward to the next meeting. They have quick accountability texts with me. Or you can have someone that you meet with once a week. You could do a group coaching program. I mean, guys, it's limitless, but here's the bottom line here. You've got to collaborate with other people that are a couple steps ahead of you. That's going to pull you forward by continuing to fuel those motivation juices. Okay. So second tip here for getting inspired is to recreate your vision. What does this mean? I am a visual person and I think a lot of people are, I can talk about goals that I have, I can think about, Oh, when I make this much, I'm going to do this.
And if I, if I launched this new thing, I'll be able to finally do X, Y, Z. But until I visually create this ideal for where I'm going, whether that be weekly goals, monthly goals, and you will goals, whatever it means, I need to have a visual representation of that to inspire me, to get out there and grow forward. Oprah brought these vision boards into the mainstream years ago, and people still swear by it, right? Like how many of you have made poster boards with your magazine clippings? And they've got, you know, vacation spots that you want to go. It's got income goals on there. I totally, when I first got into entrepreneurship, I would create poster board, vision boards, and they were fine. It was awesome. However, I've since morphed into electronic vision boards that I create in Canva, Canva is free. You guys got to get over there if you don't use CAMBA yet.
Cause your graphic design is about to become super easy, but I will create vision boards in Canva. And then I save it as my screensaver. And I will tell you every time I log into my computer, which is what multiple times a day, I'm able to see the vision for my life, for my business and on my vision board. Okay. Let me just look at it right now. I've got everything from debt-free living like living, debt-free eating healthy, being able to shop having a best-selling book. I've got some of our, our house goals on here building a big workshop, getting my husband, the Jeep that he's been wanting, taking the vacations, having a home that's in Hawaii or near the ocean somewhere. I've got my religious aspects on my vision board. Gosh guys, I've got some quotes that motivate me, right? So having a vision board is a super important way to stay motivated.
I am telling you do it, do it, do it, do it, do it. The reason you should do this is because you want to create a present reminder of what your dreams are made of. How do we get out there and be inspired to do the follow-up or gosh, what if they say no to me? Or what if they don't answer me at all? Or am I good enough? And all of these things, if we don't have a visible, visible, tangible can dribble inspirational vision of our lives. So definitely recreate your vision. Now, along with a visual board, whether that be a poster board, whether that be an E board like mine. I also think that you should write a vision statement of your life. And if any of you have taken my courses, you know that I constantly talk about vision statements, especially in passionately profitable.
It's so important to write out the dream of your life one year from now, write it in the present tense I've been doing this now for seven years and the craziest thing. They're one page they're handwritten. And you write it as if it's a day in the life, right? Like, okay, today I'm waking up and I'm smelling the fresh roasted coffee that my husband has brought to my bedside. I can see the window streaming in through the newly remodeled skylights all across our bedroom. I'm so grateful that today I get to have the morning off to go get my weekly massage, my weekly facial that we are finally debt-free, I'm able to hop over to the church and give $10,000 to their, mnnual peace giving offering, blah, blah, blah. Okay. So you have this like visual of your life and you write it in the present tense and talk about inspiring because the craziest thing, if you look back on my last six vision statements, y'all I have been able to attain 90% of all of them. If you read the one from six years ago, everything's been attained. If you read the one from a year ago, I'd say 50% of it has happened for me. So when you write a vision statement that aligns with your vision board, you can then break it down into annual, monthly and weekly goals, and then even break down those weekly goals into daily tangible action items for you to head out there and crush it with tons of inspiration.
Hey, you saw, I talked about what podcasting has done for my business last episode, but just in case you didn't hear it has exploded my community by thousands of engaged, excited new followers. And it's boosted my revenue by over 98%. Podcasting is growing by 30% every single year and audible consumption is on the rise. If you're looking for a way to grow your following and build your brand and business super quickly without ever having to show up on video without having a network, I think you should take a look at podcasting, take my quiz and see if podcasting could be right for you. Head over to podcast pro university.com to find out if you should start a podcast.
All right, let's move on. Number three. How to get more inspiration in your day? Because the first two are really, I think longterm inspiration, having a mentor, getting the right friendships in place, having the vision that you can refer back to on a weekly basis, daily basis for your vision board, it's going to keep you fueled. Your inspiration is going to be at an all time high. But what about on a daily basis when everything is like a hot mess, when you are sick or when your kids are driving you crazy or when you can't find any time. Cause you've got the full-time job and now you're home trying to make dinner and then all the things are happening. And you're trying to catch up on email and like life has just got you down. What do you do when you need a few breaks in your day?
So here are two tips for that. So tip number three is to take a break. Just take a break. How often do you find yourself? Like you're frustrated, you're overwhelmed. Those are good moments. I think when you need to mentally step away from whatever it is that's happening and this can be, get some fresh air, go outside. Don't take your phone with you. You can live without your phone. I promise for 10 minutes, head outside, take a walk, just walk around the block, go out on your lunch break, take a walk. Okay. Get some fresh air, get some sunshine on your skin. Always super inspirational for me to just realize that my present moment is just as important as all these massive goals that I'm striving towards and this big, fancy, audacious goal that I'm trying to achieve. You could dance turn on some awesome music and just have like a little dance party in your house with your kids.
I love to turn on some Pandora or whatever music app you listen to and dance while you're doing the dishes dance while you're folding laundry, like just have a dance party. I'm telling you, you will feel inspired when you're done letting loose, let Lowe's okay. Here's another one that has to do with taking a break workout and all of these have the same bottom line, which is clearing your mind. How can we be inspired if we're overwhelmed, overworked, frustrated, and basically just obsessing on whatever it is that we're focused on. And believe me, I'm a recovering workaholic. I'm a type three on the Enneagram. I totally get you like I get you. But if I don't take a break, a mental break every day, I'm not going to have my most inspired me. And for me, I love I do all three. I get some fresh air every day.
I try to have a dance party with my kids every day, even if it's for a minute. And then I also work out five days a week and I, I go to the gym. I don't take my phone in with me to my workout classes. Like I am truly, truly breaking away from my business every day. Number four, this one's really huge celebrate, celebrate. This one keeps me super inspired. When was the last time you celebrated your little wins? You know, did you get your first a hundred followers on Instagram? Woo. Like pop that champagne girl. Like that is something we're constantly comparing ourselves to everyone else out there. You know, I could be like, Oh, well, when I get my first million downloads on the podcast, yeah, that'll be a huge celebration. But what about the first hundred downloads? What about the first download?
They are all milestones in the journey to your greatest success story. What about, Hey, I finally started the email list when it's something that I've been thinking about doing for six months, instead of smacking yourself around all the time and being like, Oh, I only have this or that and blah, blah, but Mary so much better than me who cares about Mary Kay. Mary has been at this for what? 10 more years than us, or maybe Mary got a lucky break. It doesn't matter. We can only compare our success stories to ourselves. We have to compare apples to apples and only true comparison is, am I growing forward? Am I a tiny bit better than I was yesterday? So celebrate what have you recently done that needs to be lifted up. Okay. And so for example, maybe you have a goal of getting to the first rank in your company and then you do it.
And you're like, Ooh, I got there. Sweet. What's next? What's the next rank? Like you didn't even take two seconds to sit back and to celebrate that you did it. You actually attain something that a couple of weeks ago it seemed impossible or it seemed daunting or you weren't sure how you were going to do it. Stop stepping over your accomplishments and stomping on yourself. Because without those little accomplishments, there's no way that the big goals are going to be achieved. And then what happens when you don't set a routine of celebration in your life? When you get to the big goals, you're going to stomp on those two and you're constantly going to be looking for the next best thing. So I want you right after this episode to set up some simple roadmap goals, and then I want you to tie them to a celebration.
This doesn't have to be elaborate. It doesn't have to be expensive. It can be taking yourself out to dinner. It can be getting yourself that pedicure you've been needing to get it can be buying a nice bottle of wine or champagne. It can be getting a 30 minute mini facial. Like what are the things that you love? It could even be taking the day off to go hang out with a great friend. Like it doesn't even have to be monetary, but it does have to be something that fuels your soul. And I want you to put those celebrations down on paper, put them up on your fridge, put them up on your bathroom mirror wherever you want. But I want you to look at those and then actually stop and celebrate yourself. Once in a while. Last tip here is to read or watch inspirational personal development, personal development.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yes. I just made a jingle. That was very strange. So the last tip is to be inspired by reading or listening to inspiration. Now you could be a visual person head over to YouTube type in inspirational videos. This is so simple. Whenever I'm driving, I'm listening to podcasts, inspirational stuff, whether it's religious based, whether it's business based, whether I just love the human being behind that podcast. I'm fueling my mind with inspiration because that allows my subconscious mind to stay in this really heightened state to be inspired because it's listening to inspiration. Like what you fuel your mind with is what you become. It's really super simple. One of my favorite ways to get re-energized is to listen. While I drive to podcasts. When I'm doing the dishes, I listen to podcasts, I'm a podcast junkie. However, I could also be listening to audible.
If you guys are more of a book person, throw on some awesome personal development, listen to it on audible, Rachel Hollis, you could listen to John Maxwell grant Cardo, and like whoever lights you up, grab their latest stuff, put it on audio. And you can still go on with your day. And it doesn't matter how busy you are. This is something you can do because everyone does dishes. I think you can listen then. And you're going to have such a more inspiring day when you fuel your mind with that, I promise you it's a kick in the pants to get her done, get it done, get out there and get it. So I hope that you liked these tips for staying inspired. I live by them. I stand by them. I personally do all of these things on a daily, weekly, monthly, annual basis. And they allow me to just stay me, stay happy, stay excited, and continue to show up for all the people in my community. So I hope you liked this episode.
If you did take a screenshot real quick head over to Instagram, upload your screenshot in into Instagram stories, hashtag the mompreneur mastermind show and Stephanie gas. And I will share your story that you've just shared in my stories to my community of 43,000 people. And how much fun will that be On over to IG and share it.
Now, lastly, I'm going to leave you With just some words of encouragement. I pray over you. Amazing human that is listening on the other side of this phone or computer or screen. I pray that you realize you are your own most incredible gift. You are covered in inspiration right now, right now to take action on the dream on the thing that you've been wanting to do. I want you to grab a hold of that dream, write it down, make it a reality. Hire the mentor, hire the coach, take the course or take action on starting to achieve because that dream was in place in your heart on accident. I pray that you have courage. You are led with fearless grace today to get out there and conquer your dreams. I am cheering for you. I'll see you soon as always love and light, Stef
