How to maintain business growth during Covid-19. Staying productive during self-isolation & quarantine as busy mompreneurs. How to profit during recessions.

In this Podcast Coaching Session, we discuss how to start a successful podcast by getting down to the nitty-gritty of who and what your avatar actually needs!

These are times that we never dreamed we'd experience in our lifetimes.

Businesses shutting down, entire countries on lock-down. Only leaving our homes for groceries and prescriptions. Fear of our loved ones catching Covid-19... and amidst all of the fears, we have our kids at home AND are trying to keep our businesses afloat.

And, I have a feeling it's just getting started.

Along with keeping our faith on HIGH and staying united - which I laid out in Episode 154.5  we also need to stay productive and profitable.

Here are some easy mindset and tactical steps that I am taking to continue fostering my business, podcast, and coaching business during this time.

I hope you apply these steps to your life and business and please know, you are not alone! I'm here for you. Send me a DM and let me know how else I can serve you right now. How I can pray for you, or what you want to hear next on the show.

How to Stay Productive & Profitable During Self-Quarantine

FULL-TRANSCRIPTION

These are seriously unprecedented times, Lolas. We are all navigating this interesting time during the COVID-19 pandemic. In my reality, what that looks like for me is maintaining my coaching business, navigating and helping all of my students, doing Lives in my various groups, trying to keep my house livable… because there are just landmines everywhere in the form of LEGOS, unidentified spills, laundry piling up and dishes galore! I’m currently wearing the SAME shirt for the second day in a row (because in reality, I don’t want to add to the laundry mountain) … so yeah, that’s my quarantined life. Can ya feel me? I know you can which is why I wanted to take this time and tell you about how I have been managing productivity during the last several days of quarantine. Hopefully, these tips will not only help guide you and your business, but it can also help you find a little grace in this situation, uncover the blessings during a stressful time, but still get your work done. My desire is that I can encourage you to continue to grow your business, your podcast, get your message out into the world, and how you can use this time to YOUR benefit!

Tip #1 – Learn to LOVE your new norm!
Old Stefanie would have a HUGE issue with my house being as messy as it is right now. It would be hard to concentrate, and I couldn’t really focus on getting my work done because I am more focused on picking up the living room. NEW Stefanie messy = happy kids! A kitchen that is NOT perfect is OK right now! I’ve had to rewrite that narrative in my mind of thinking that everything has to be perfect all the time and just knowing that life is going to be messy for a while and I have to be ok with that! Really accepting that whatever your old norm has been, it’s gone and we just have to accept that!

Tip #2 – Find the BLESSINGS!
Being able to stay home and be present with your family gives us more time! There’s no carpooling, no running around town, and NO EXCUSES as to why we now have ample time to do all those things on the to-do list.  I’ve had on my checklist to update Podcast Pro University for like 4 MONTHS ladies! Guess what? There are no more excuses as to why that cannot  make this happen. As a result, over the last couple of days, I’ve had the change to update modules, add notes, and go through everything. The question is ladies, what can YOU do off of that to-do list that has been ignored? Let’s say, worst-case scenario, we are needing to be self-quarantined for the next month, you now have an extra hour or two that you can spend perfecting your craft! Make a list of the things you can do for your business and prioritize them based off of what has the highest impact. If you now have the time to do more podcast episodes, put a star by that one and up your podcast to two per week. If you are doing great on your podcast, but it’s time for you to monetize, put a star by “create the course”. Spend the time and retreat to your office to get it done. My kids are having a wonderful time doing self-play. Yes, it’s messy, but they are learning and having fun… and it’s good for them! During this time, I’m just letting them have fun! If I need to, I just have my kiddos get super focused on doing something specific so I can have more time to be productive. What are the things you’ve been putting off? Well, now you have time to do all. the. things… what a blessing! What are the things you need to do for yourself or your spouse? Maybe there are phone calls you need to make or other tasks you need to get done? Instead of sitting around, thinking about how bored you are, go to your master list and pick something off your list.

Tip #3 – Find new and exciting ways to get everyone FOCUSED!
While we have more time here in our homes, it doesn’t mean that we are necessarily getting more done and I think that is because we have to tendency of letting distraction run our lives instead of getting super focused. I set my kids up with “morning work”. I set up my son, Miles, with a workbook and Landon has an arts and crafts kit. I tell them what they need to do and let them know much time they have to complete their work and that I’m going to check it when they are done. Once they get started, on the exercise, I now have 20 minutes to do something really hyper-focused. In this time, it’s easy to get away from our planners and structure but I’m telling you that even during times like this, there is such value in structure so you can get more done. I’m still using my paper planner, I’m still lightly structuring the day and I know I can still take clients when my husband is working from home. All of this has taken a lot of flexibility. I know that in the afternoons, generally, my youngest son is napping so I can do laundry or pick up around the house.

Tip #4 – You can still SELL!
How many of you have felt weird about this? I know I have! Do I just give everything away for free? Do I still market things? Do I change my marketing? My thoughts are this… people are at home! So many of us offer something in the online sphere. You offer productivity, structure, things geared towards moms, cooking recourses, workout resources. I personally, offer coaching resources. People need these things just like us! People are sitting at home and they have the chance to get things done, get things started, meet with a coach or mentor. The time is so perfect for us to continue to sell and we shouldn’t feel weird about it! We should feel excited that we can offer people the things they need to better their lives right now! Just do it in an authentic way! Do it in a way that makes you feel comfortable. For example, I just marketed my “With God She Rises” Journal on Instagram this morning because I think that this is a time where my Lola desperately needs to begin and end her day with Jesus and prayer, gratitude, intentionality, and miracle tracking to get her through this! Honestly though, in the beginning, I felt weird about it and was thinking about just giving it away or lowering the price but really, when you self-publish a book, many of you will find out, your profit margins are super small. I just made a decision that I was going to get behind my product and believe that there are women out there looking for a resource like mine and sold it! So, whatever it is that you are out there selling, your coaching services, products, whatever it is, doing in a way that feels good to you. Talk about the benefits, use testimonies so people can see the proof, and remind yourself, now is the perfect time for people to better their situation and their lives. If you have that resource… just DO THE THING!

TIP #5 – Remember that this too shall pass!
It will, I promise. Something you can do that will really change your perspective is having open communication and asking for help! Here’s an example, I take one-on-one clients and so many people have worked with me and I have to find a way to do that and serve you guys! It’s my passion to help women find clarity. I love to help others see what they are meant to do and how to do it. I love to help YOU LOLAS launch podcasts, start businesses, map out courses and I’m going to continue to do that…. but I can’t do it alone! It’s challenging to do this with my kids at home all day so it’s going to be a trying time with scheduling. Here’s my advice: ask yourself, how can I make it work? Can you move your appointments to the evenings if your spouse is working from home? Is there a neighbor that can help you? Is there a time where maybe you can take clients early in the morning? If you sell a product, is there a time that you can go online for support or time you can be available to your clients? Everything is movable. Every single thing in your business can be fixed! People now, more than ever, are more understanding. It’s all about being flexible with yourself and business, having open communication with your social media and your listeners or your spouses. It’s all about finding what’s going to work and creating a new norm! Ladies, ask for help, communicate openly, and just do your best!

HOW TO START A PODCAST!
How to start a podcast. LIVE podcast coaching. Podcast students. Launch a podcast, grow your podcast rank, monetize a podcast, podcast launch checklist.
I launched my podcast in 2018 after searching for a way to scale my coaching business and grow my following in a faster, more authentic way. I decided on podcasting because I have kids (aka. video isn't my jam), and because audio is growing insanely fast and I saw an emerging trend. Last, because committing to a podcast was my way of showing up consistently and dedicating myself to my mission.

What has podcasting done for my business? Well, my podcast grew my revenue by over 98%! My community has grown by thousands and it has allowed me to touch more people than I ever could have imagined.

I have now helped MANY other women (just like YOU) launch top rated podcasts. Many of them have ranked in the top #30 because of my effective launch strategy! If you want to have a show that STANDS out and grows your business, brand, and mission here on Earth - come check out my proven program.
