#StumpStef Q&A: Where to Find More Lolas? What's My Zone of Genius? How to Stay Consistent? How to Grow From Zero?
Hey girl, hey!
My FAVORITE part of the work I do is helping you break-through, scale-up, take action, and step into your potential. A few months ago I started asking my IG community (psssst... if you're not there, why not?!) to give me their BEST business questions. I called it #StumpStef. And whoaaaa I was blown away. I've had so many amazing questions come through and I've done my BEST to answer them all on IG stories... however, I wanted to start doing some #StumpStef episodes and this is the first one!
In today's show I will answer these burning questions:
1) Where can we find more of our audience once we've identified them (i.e. where dem Lola's hanging out!?)?
2) What the HECK is my zone of genius when I've done everything to figure it out and I'm still stuck?
3) How do we grow from a platform of ZERO?
AND... if you want to be featured on the NEXT #StumpStef episode, DM me on IG and give me your best question, or reply to this email sister!
Love and light,

Did you know that we can work together? SIS? Yeah, you and me, I can help you knock through that breakthrough, help you zone in on what that soul calling really is. I can even help you map out an online course. That's right. It's super fun. And you got the recording forever and I'm telling you what my biggest breakthroughs came from investing in myself. And most often it was the times that I couldn't truly afford it, or couldn't as the wrong word. Didn't think that was where the money should go. Investing in yourself is always going to pay tenfold. And you're going to see the fruits of that investment in the future. So if you're at that point and you're ready to knock through some barriers, do the next thing. You need some guidance. You need some help. I'm your gal. Go to Stephanie gas.com/work with me to find out more.
All right, let's dig into some of these hashtags stumps Steph questions. Shall we? You guys really poured them in last time. And I think these are so great. The first question came from Shantelle Shariece and Shantelle asks where to find the target audience. Once you have identified them. Okay, this is such a great question. So you've identified your target audience. Let's use Lola. You guys know Lola super well by now. She's my avatar. She's my bestie. She's all of you. And talk about how do I go and find her? How do I find her? So the first thing you want to do is you want to think about if you were in your Lola shoes, where is she hanging out? Where socially does she hang out? So all of you, I'm pretty sure most of you hang out on Instagram. Am I right? You guys also potentially hang out in mompreneur on Facebook because you're asking questions.
You are curious. You want to expand. You might be on Pinterest as well, looking for SEO tips. And what's a sales funnel and you're searching for guidance and help on the internet. Am I right? You are probably, I also know you so well that I know that you are faith-driven. You are probably really into your spirituality. So when I'm thinking about you and I want to touch and impact you, I'm going to first start with really killer SEO. And that simply means search engine optimization. This is not hard. So stick with me because it will change the way that you are found online. All of you are out there. You're doing your Instagram thing. You've got hashtags, right? You maybe have a blog or a podcast or video. I hope you have something where you're showing up in serving your Lola. If not, let's talk.
I got you covered my Lola. I want to touch her on Instagram and on my podcast. So I have to be sure that my SEO is in line. That means using hashtags like well-watered women, like the faith driven mama, and you can do hashtag research to find the hashtags that are roughly between 250,000 uses and 50,000 uses. So they're really targeted to a specific woman and you can go just use the Instagram search bar to find those hashtags. That's how you can then say, okay, I know where she would be hanging out. Cause I know her problems. I now know the words that the hashtag she would be following. So I'm going to use those. And then now you want to think about what are the words that she'd be searching for if she's in Pinterest or if she's on Google, my gal is searching for, you know, Christian entrepreneur, Christian.
Mompreneur how to start a podcast, how to launch a podcast, how to grow your following path, to create an online business, what is passive income? So if you can start to think about these key phrases that your avatar is looking for, you can start to embed those words in your copyright, put it right there in the meat of your blog, put it as tags in your YouTube video, title, your podcasts with key phrases. Like for example, mine says the mompreneur mastermind show podcast for Christian entrepreneurs because when I searched for Christian entrepreneurs, not that much comes up. So I want to be sure that I secure that spot. Then you also want to think about how you can be found in the descriptions and the titles that you use. So my description of my show is going to use key phrases like ready to create passive income, Christian mompreneurs, that dah dah, dah, dah.
So like people that I want to be found, those search terms will show up in a Google search bar. I hope that helps. Okay. Next one. Kay. Lemon asks, I've tried to identify my zone of genius for years. I don't know what it is. What steps should I take to figure it out? First and foremost, I want y'all to go listen to episode, I believe 68 of the podcast, which is discovering your calling and uncovering your soul call, so to speak or your God led calling. Let me verify. Yes. Episode 68 of the podcast, or go to Stephanie gas.com/blog/ 68. That's step one. Okay. Now step two. Kay. Actually answered and said, she's listened to it a bunch of times. So the next step for you, if you've done all of this discovery work on your own and you're digging and you're trying to uncover what your God led call is.
And you maybe think, you know, but then you don't, but then you ask George and George gives you other feedback and then, you know, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, is to work with a mentor or a coach. Now it doesn't have to be me. It just needs to be somebody that's really in tune with your business model and your personality style. And you really resonate with their way of coaching. You've heard all their free stuff you've learned from them. That would probably be the coach that I would say, Hey, can you help me with uncovering my zone of genius, do a discovery call or a breakthrough session with that person? Because often times I got stuck because I can't turn the mirror and look at myself and it took, you guys have heard my story. The biggest breakthrough for me was on the other side of a $200 coaching session that I couldn't afford at the time.
And that person asking me leading questions that helped me to break through the limiting beliefs I had about what I should become and what I should go after. So my advice for you is if you can't get there on your own, it's time to ask for help. That's my answer there. Okay. Next one, Jesus anchored asked how to stay consistent with sales, social media and all the things. I totally feel you. Productivity is rough. Staying organized is super rough. How on earth do we pursue our calling and our greatest potential? When we have a life like we have kids and laundry coming out the wazoo and we need a dire hair. And or is that just me? I think that's all of you, right? So my tips for making sure that you stay consistent with all the things is first getting really clear on what your most balanced life looks like.
Creating those categories. You can do this in with God. She rises journal, which is my product with God. She rises.com or simply do it on a piece of paper. That's totally cool. But coming up with clear descriptive areas of your life, how much time you want to spend in each area, get clear on what you want it to look like. And then the second component of that is you've got to get very rigid on your boundaries and mapping out the days and hours of your life. I mean, to the 30 minute increments mapping out structured routines that will help you achieve being very focused on a activity and then plugging those in not getting distracted, turning off the phone, not going to lunch with Nancy. When she calls you last minute, we love you Nance, but not today. Sister, mom has got a plan, okay?
Staying focused. If you want all the gold on this, I want you to head over to episode 65, which is organization and then episode 12, which is time-blocking. Those two episodes will completely transform the way that you run your life. When you run your life with intention, you create real change. Okay? Last one for this episode of hashtag STEM stuff. This is from Chelsea, jo.co. And her question is how do I grow from zero? Well, first of all, you don't have zero Chelsea because you rock. And I see all them followers, girl, but how do you grow from zero when you're kind of starting out with the new brand, starting out with the new business, you first need to understand that there is no such thing as overnight success, and you need to start with a servant heart. Number one, map out your avatar, who is she?
Number two, use the I S T C formula to create content, to pour into your market. And you can hear all about that formula on episode one Oh four. And then third is consistently show up over and over again with incredible solutions that you present through storytelling. And that's how you connect with people. And that's how you grow organically. Now you've got to show up consistently every week. It doesn't matter if you want to show up on a blog. If you want to show up on a podcast, if you want to show up on YouTube or Facebook video, I don't really care where you show up, but you've got to show up for free and touch your Lola at the highest capacity over and over and over again. Use targeting and SEO. Like I just talked about with question one, that way you can be found in the Google search bar, you can have really great results in Pinterest and wherever else you're hanging out, YouTube, et cetera.
And then the other piece here where you can really scale a bit faster is to start using the power of relationships and networking. We can only grow so fast on our own, right? I can only put out so many podcast episodes every week. I can only hope that you guys love it enough to share it in your Instagram stories, that I've touched you deeply enough or impacted your business enough for you to leave me a review, but not everyone will. I know how hard it is for me to go review some things. So I understand that life gets in the way sometimes. How else can we grow and scale quicker. We can make meaningful relationships with people that can add value to our market. So I've been wanting to talk about this for a while. So this is exciting that the question came up where I can do so back when I started podcasting, I was an open book, you know, I didn't really know how and what, and all the things.
And I started to follow a couple of gals that were really inspirational for me. They were doing great in their show. They had just launched a bit before me, but they seem to have great traction. And I was watching them and kind of feeling like that imposter syndrome like, Oh, they're growing so fast. Like, I don't know if I can grow as fast as them. They have so many reviews. And instead of sitting in that, I just reached out to them. I was like, Hey, I'm watching you and you are killing it. Like you are just rocking and rolling. You're doing so amazing. I'm excited about what you're putting into the world. I just want to say hi, I'm you know, fellow podcasts are just getting started. I'm cheering for you. If there's any way for me to help serve your market or help you, that would be amazing if you have any tips for me.
And like, I truly came at it with a open heart and I had no expectations. I was hoping that they just want it to be like my online friends so that I could learn from them. Well, two of these women wrote right back, like, Hey, Oh my gosh, I'm excited. Would you like to do podcast swaps? We ended up doing podcast swaps, still friends with them to this day, I'm in a mastermind with one of them who ended up getting me in this free mastermind with where I'm the dumbest person in the room, which is phenomenal, where I would love to be in that position. And the other one has thrown business my way. She ended up giving me a recommendation for a hire, somebody I have on my team. And it's amazing. And so the point there is you can grow in many ways in your business, but you can grow faster when you're not alone.
I want you all to start thinking about who are the people that you look up to, who is two steps ahead of you in what you're doing in a similar market that you can learn from that you can grow with, that you can start to collaborate with. This works both ways as well. I've had people that have been following me, shout out to Robin Graham and the socially savvy VA. Both of them have been with me from day one. They comment, they DM me. They're always, you know, giving me praise and being part of my community at the highest capacity. And when I think of an opportunity for them or when I think of people that are really important to me, that I want to get feedback from. I immediately think of them because I know they're part of my sisterhood. But the other thing I've done is I've started to do spots on other people's shows where I can present my knowledge to their audience.
That helps me pour into their audience. It helps their market hear from someone new here's something fresh, but it grows my brand faster. So something you guys can think about when you're trying to scale and grow your brand, is, is this PR, okay? Is this public relations? Am I serving my market today? Am I serving someone else's similar niche market today? Am I serving someone else that can give me tips and advice and is two steps further along than me in this journey. And finally, is this making me money? Those are activities for me. And if it doesn't or brings me joy, okay? So there's five things. If those are not the things I'm focused on, I need to move on from that thing. So that's how you can grow from zero it's a long road, but it is so worth it and feel into what feels right for you.
Just because podcasting is right for me, that may not be right for you. So really follow where your heart is telling you where you're the most joyful. That's where I would recommend that you show up. I hope you enjoy this episode of hashtag stump step. If you did, I need to know it so that I can do another one. I want to know what do you guys love the most on this show? Which episodes are your favorite? Do you like the live coaching sessions? How else can I serve you? What are your biggest struggles? Send me a DM. I'm serious. I want to serve you. I want this podcast to be the solution to every single one of your problems. That is why I'm here. That's why I'm showing up for you. And I need to hear from you praying over you friend, praying over you for resistance and reassurance.
As you face all of the limiting beliefs that come our way on this earth. As we navigate this journey and know that you are worth success, you are worthy of growth. You are here on purpose and that call in your heart is there because you were meant to go out and create change in the world. I want you to feel confident and empowered as you take the steps today to go out and start to change the world and know that God is on your side, ask him for his provision and his strength and his guidance. See you soon as always loving lights.
